Dear future CSC104 students, The biggest thing I would recommend when taking CSC104 is practice! This course is very challenging and if you fall behind you will struggle to catch up. The functions that you will be using are useful but can be challenging at times. I suggest that whenever you have extra time you sit down on your computer and focus on master the functions that you have gone over that week in class. The functions you learn in week 1 you usually need for week 2 and so on, so if you miss a week of functions you will fall behind and get lost really quick.

Hunter Atchison October 27th SLOG Since the beginning of the semester, CSC 104 has been one of my favourite courses. While the course content has increased in difficulty, I have been able to develop new study habits and strategies to help achieve my goals. One of those strategies I use when studying is creating my own problems or check-expect and making sure they run. My strategy was to run each question on the practice assignment and observe the steps and results. I would then go back and create my own function for eac

It's something I've always been interested in learning  and understanding better as it is integrated in my day-to-day life. Expanding my knowledge in computers could help me in my future career or personal use. Having only a basic comprehension of computers made me feel more comfortable in enrolling in CSC 104 rather than an advanced course.  Having no prior computer science experience, I wasn't sure what to expect. Although it is just the basic level, I assumed that it would still be complex and require thinking skills. I have faced challenges so far in this course, but have been able to overcome and progress with the material. So far I've found the different functions that you are able to create very interesting. As a class we are learning very basic functions that are quit
